Suspension
Found a wrecked Cabriolet at the junkyard and to our surprise, it had Bilstein struts with H&R springs! Talk about great find! Brought it home, cleaned it up, put it back together with new bump stops and strut tower bushings. Looks new. Saved a lot of money :) In addition, we were able to install Arch's (the MKIIs) used, but in good shape, rotors, calipers and pads.

Patiently Awaiting Return of Our ABA
Got around to removing the dash and knee bar for installation of manual transmission pedal assembly (from automatic).
-Installed clutch cable and manual transmission spedometer cable, as well as removal of the airbag computer (race rabbits dont need airags....).
The weather was nice and hot as usual (with it being the middle of August and all!), but was still able to get the work done (a big thank you to Dasani water and Monster energy drinks! Ha. )

Sold the Flares and Bumpers...
Kind of sad to see parts of a car go away, but we didn't need them and they went home with someone planning to put them to good use on a Rabbit... nice!

What a Difference!
Trip to the Machine Shop
It's time to be machined...some parts of the engine (from MK1 and MK2) were dropped off at
C & C Automotive in Manassas, VA off of Centreville Road, since they seemed to be the only quality machine shop left running in the area. Should be about a month before we are able to bring these babies back home...

Update...
We've been busy searching and collecting parts: Craigslist, VWVortex and junk yards... finally located an ABA out of the Baltimore area... picked-it up, but now what? Keep checking in to see what is next :)
